![]() ![]() This revolver is not a fun gun to shoot with full house loads, so we recommend a set of Pachmayr CHA/C Grips, in order to have one to shoot with, and one set to look at. Weight empty is 19 3/4 ounces, with center of gravity at the cylinder stop. Ignition is floating firing pin, with transfer bar safety mechanism that prevents the hammer from contacting the pin unless the trigger is fully depressed. Charters generally pull double action in the 12 – 14 pound vicinity, and 4 1/2 pound area single action, with minimal felt creep. 310 serrated face, with matching serrated spur hammer. Cylinder is 5 shot, and the Charter accepts ammunition from a CA44 size speedloader. Note the purplish salt blue tint to the main frame. Main frame, barrel, and cylinder are polished blue, with a matching black anodized alloy grip frame / trigger guard. Sights are welded steel cast steel ramp and blade front with frame integral fixed notch rear. Barrel is one piece tapered 3 inch, with 8 groove right hand 18 3/4 rifling in a full lug shroud. ![]() Construction is all steel, with the exception of the alloy trigger guard and grip frame, with factory walnut combat grips. Type is traditional double and single action true swingout revolver. This is Charter’s Classic Bulldog, Factory variant number is 34431.
